Eric Posner is currently Director of Bands at Atholton High School in Columbia, Maryland. Before coming to Atholton, Eric was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Kansas and was involved with all aspects of the band program including the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic and University Bands, the Marching Jayhawks, and all other athletic bands. During his two years in Lawrence he served as the director of the Women’s Volleyball Band and the Women’s Basketball Band as well as the Manager for the Prairie Wind Festival. Most recently Eric served as the Assistant Producer for the KU Wind Ensemble’s new CD recently released on the NAXOS label in April of 2009.
Eric has studied conducting with Dr. Scott Weiss, Dr. John Lynch, and David Clemmer.
Eric is a member of MENC, MMEA, National Band Association (NBA), College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA), and regularly attends various workshops throughout the country.
